Childhood – influenced by Parents

Devaki Vasudeva Rao born on 5th May 1972 in Khammam to Smt. Devaki Swarajya Lakshmi & Sri Devaki Narayana Gupta. Parents infused values in him since young age.

Mother is God loving and in spite of her losing her father at a very young age and school dropout, got an early marriage... she stood by the family and brought up the children with values. Father is well known for his love and care for family, friends and relatives in his circle. He used to derive happiness by helping those in need and feeding those who visit his home. Vasu, is the youngest child amongst 5 siblings at home and naturally pampered by all at Home. These virtues created life lasting impressions in the young mind of Vasu. Even today, Vasu practicing these values in life.

Education – Early Leadership

He did his schooling in Govt. Aided School in Telugu Medium... He used to be very active in School, served as School Pupil Leader. The Teachers used to love young Vasu as he is always well behaved and also toper in the school. Later he got a Rank in APRDC Entrance Exams, Kurnool. He did his B. Com., at the Silver Jubilee Degree College in Kurnool and he is unanimously elected as Student Union President those days. His leadership is un parallel at that age. He is a sportsman and maintained physical fitness since young age.

Higher Education – Greater aspirations

Later, he moved to Hyderabad for pursuing higher education with many aspirations in life. He did his LL.B, while pursuing Company Secretary Course...which is one of the very difficult professional courses in the country. He struggled a lot but never went back on his decision of becoming CS Professional.

Career Graph – Consolidating the Success

His career started with NATCO Pharma Ltd as CS Trainee and CS M Adinarayana became his first Mentor in Profession. He also completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations and did PGDCA. His educational qualifications added more and more insights in to life and mission. He always stood differently in all the phases of life with his multifaceted personality.

He started working while pursuing his LL.B and CS Courses, considering that such work will empower him and make him to be independent in life without seeking support from parents. In the process he became multi-tasking, multi-talented, multi lingual, multi-faceted personality and also tech savvy in his daily routine.

He got married to Smt. Roopavathi, eldest D/o Smt & Sri Muvvala Tulasidas, who was very reputed business man at Khammam. He was the Secretary of Chamber of Commerce Khammam. Vasu became eldest Son of his Father-in-Law with his love and care. Though he was happily leading life at Malasiya...He had to return to India post to the sad and untimely demise of his Father-in-Law at Khammam in the year 2001. Sri Tulasidas was mysteriously killed in broad day light. But, Vasu stood by the deceased family and took care of his mother-in-law and her 2 young daughters, considering that it's his moral responsibility as family head. While doing all this on one hand he also stepped in to business at Khammam and successfully run Reliance Infocom Franchise with more than 20,000 customers in and around Khammam and the Firm always stood as the TOP Performing Franchisee. He is blessed with a Son, Kousthubh who is pursuing Chartered Accountancy course and Daughter Krishna Kruthi who is presently in her high school.

Profession – Passion for Perfection

He founded Devaki Vasudeva Rao & Associates in the year 2013, as an integrated service firm focused on corporate laws, after having a rich and varied experience close to 17 years in various mid and large scale corporates in India and abroad.

Vasu has immense knowledge and experience in dealing with matters relating to Company Law, Securities Laws, inbound and outbound Investment, Legal Due Diligence, Transaction documents, Joint Ventures, Foreign Collaborations, Technology Transfers, Mergers and Acquisitions, Listings and Capital Market Transactions. The founder has been actively involved in nurturing startups, by advising them on capital structuring, stock options, seed and angel round of investments, shareholder agreements etc.,

He has handled diversified corporate actions, including Initial Public Offers, Preferential Issue of Shares, Issue of Debentures, Secretarial Audit, Mergers and Acquisitions, Takeovers, Legal / Corporate Due Diligence, Organizing Shareholders and Board of Directors Meetings. He is well versed with Corporate Governance Practices and Code of Conduct for the Employees / Directors, Insider Trading Policy, ESOP Scheme and various other Corporate Secretarial matters. He also had a good exposure to Legal Drafting, Vetting and Litigation, Drafting of various Agreements. He advises many clients on Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), Overseas Direct Investment (ODI) & FEMA related compliances.

Some of the Corporates to whom he is an advisor includes Natco Pharma Limited, NCC Infra Group, Sembcorp Gayatri Power Projects Limited, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Limited, Omics Group, Shriram Life Insurance Limited. He serves as mentor to various Startups in the Telugu States and he is also seed investor in some of the Technology companies.

He is greatly influenced by Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, refined his personality when he was young man, with human values propagated by Sathya Sai Baba. He draws inspiration from his Spiritual Guru Sri Sri Sri Tridandi Ramanuja Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji. He is also serving Jeeyar Trust and offering his professional services. With such influences in his life, he became vegetarian.

Coming for Unity with Khammam – Community Work

With an urge to do his bit for the place where he is born and brought up, always made him to think what and how he can be of some support to Khammam. That's how he found Vivekananda Institute of Human Excellence (VIHE) vihekmm.org, under the aegis of Sri Ramakrishna Math, Hyderabad and started serving 1000s of young men in and around Khammam since 2012. He is also one of the founding member of abhayafoundation.org which is serving those in need across the country since 12 years.
